Technical Information

The DICOM format is the only format accepted for X-ray files uploaded.

Microsoft Windows is necessary for the set-up and use of Keystone Community.

As regards to endoscopic videos, every video uploaded must be readable by the software VLC.

In case of veterinary certificate, the PDF format il the only accepted.
Asteris Keystone is also accessible for MAC users, running Bootcamp/Windows.

Without Windows, MAC users can however consult online studies (excluding for yearlings sales).

An Internet Connexion of 1.5 Mbit/s (download) and of 512 Kbit/s (upload) is recommended to upload and consult studies online.

View Recognition

Asteris Keystone software includes an automatic view recognition system based on the DICOM tags of each X-ray file.

Thus, the DICOM tag must refer for each view, the name of the joint, its side (left/right) and the name of the view.A recommended list of DICOM tags for each view is accessible on the veterinary protocol document for each sale.

However, because of discrepancies in settings and/or labelling, the software might not be able to recognise all or part of the views submitted.

In this case, it is up to the veterinary surgeon to place manually (click and drag) each unrecognised view in the corresponding slots.
If consistently, some or all of the views are not recognised by the software, it is advised for the veterinary surgeon to contact Asteris in order to identify the problem. Contact Asteris
